Scott & Cindy Thomas

Integrity, loyal, faithful, and committed, are words that have been used to describe the ministry and character of Scott and Cindy Thomas.  Scott, a preacher’s son, was born in Middletown, OH with a very traditional Christian upbringing.  Cindy was reared in a very strong Christian family in Puerto Rico.  Both met, attended and graduated from Lee University in Cleveland, TN, and later married.

With more than two decades of full-time ministry behind them, Lead Pastors Scott and Cindy are no strangers to service and leadership.  With a deeply rooted desire to maintain their creative style, passion for ministry, love for God’s people and the freedom it brings, they launched Free Life Chapel in Lakeland, Florida on the promises of a bright and glorious future. 

As they contour a worship experience for generations present and future to draw all cultures together for worship, Scott and Cindy desire people to discover that God loves and accepts them perfectly and present the Gospel with relevance that will motivate you to be all God called you to be. 

Scott is known for teaching God’s Word in a fresh, practical, and revelatory way that always unveils the love of Christ. His humorous, dynamic and engaging style endears him to a wide spectrum of pastoral engagements and ministry opportunities.  As a passionate and dedicated father to their son Caleb, Scott plays an active role in their family life and believes whole-heartedly that ministry and family can coexist congruently. 

Cindy is a devoted wife, mother, and constant source of co-labored support to Free Life Chapel.  Her unassuming nature, tenderness, transparency and genuine love for God and people, have led to her counseling and touching the lives of many.  Anointed with a unique and powerful ability to connect with people of all ages and cultures, Cindy’s amusing teaching style and leadership skills propel spiritual maturity in the lives of those she reaches.

Scott and Cindy’s ministry as pastors, teachers, mentors and author continues to transform lives, setting people free from the heavy yoke of religion, guilt, and condemnation by pointing them to Jesus and His finished work at Calvary.  Together, they are rapidly becoming a leading voice in proclaiming the gospel of freedom around the world while helping people discover how they too can live the free life!
